Re chosen Model - Louisa Brumfield
Louisa is studying at Hymers 6th form college therefore her work is very demanding, this may cause slight issues regarding time management however i am sure we will be able to organise a period to shoot the music video when we both have free time. Louisa studies performing arts at Hymers - her main focus being drama which she further studies outside of college at Hull Truck theatre of performing arts. The in terms of taking the lead part in my music video, her main attribute is good quality performance style which will benefit the realism of my music video. Certain areas of performance such as lip singing in the music video will hopefully be realistic from her experience in this performance area.
Another advantage of using Louisa in my music video is that she is already acquainted with my other Model Elliot making which should make the love scenes between the two models more natural and authentic. Situations during filming may have been quite awkward by using Millie and created an opposing atmosphere on camera to what I want to create.
A helping hand - Jessica Holliday
Jessica Holliday
A Wyke student Jess Holliday, has agreed to help with the filming stages of my music video involving preparing the models in terms of both their appearance and confidence and generally helping out during the production. This was very kind of her to offer as it means she can communicate with the models perhaps using hand signals telling them when to act a certain way or start to cry in my circumstance ect. Some shots do require extra help, for example Jess will help out by holding up the mirror in the opening sequence but appear out of the shot which is very helpful as it means I don't have to find places to lean props against which can be awkward and time consuming.
Jess has experience working with music videos after featuring in Harley Lough's music video Run the World as one of the dancers. She understands the commitment needed by the cast and how time consuming the whole process can be which is why she offered her help. I am looking forward to working with Jess during filming and hopefully she will bring ideas to the process and generally help me out.
CHANGE OF MODEL
Unfortunately with pressures from needing to meet deadlines and following productions plans for filming Milly Barsdley can no longer take the part of the main part in my music video.
This is a great shame as Milly's image and unique look was perfect for the character I wanted to portray during my music video, this has been a large set back in the research and production as costumes will have to be re chosen to fit the style and size of my new model Louisa Brumfield. However this could be a positive outcome as Louisa is a close friend of mine and I know she is a reliable and dedicated person ensuring this situation will not happen again. With the right guidance from myself (the director) and use of costume and make up Louisa should also look correct in the role I want her to play. Also she is familiar with my other model Elliot Morrell meaning certain shots showing their closeness will be more authentic and realistic as they know each other and obviously will feel more confident acting in each others company.
